On the negative side: the tool is only suitable for tensioning short lengths of wire & then only when stapling the end; the wire gripping jaws are poorly designed & wire falls out easily. If you want to pull wire like the professional get a chain type tensioner.

Both tools do what they are designed to do. Wire tensioner enables you to get really good tension on wire. Works with any diameter wire. Need to take care with smaller diameter wire as it is easy to put too much tension on the wire and it will snap.

The only thing I wish is that you could alter the angle that you contact the post, had some fencing on some hilly ground and its a bit of a pain to use but then not seen one that does work on an angle.
