Good value Plug-in door chime
It is easy to set up and use, the doorbell chimes are quite amusing especially the ones in Mandarin Chinese. I like it..... hopefully durable. Time will tell. I do recommend it for the price, it is only a door bell.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Reasonable quality, but features could be improved
I felt the volume should have been louder. The chimes certainly weren't as loud as the old bell. As I got the Twin Plug, I found it difficult getting them both to deliver the same chime. It's a shame the instructions didn't number the chimes, so they could be co-ordinated. I had to count through to make sure both units had the same chime, which was quite time-consuming. Can't use the socket.
Well, it works. The sounds are a little on the raucous side. But the main problem is that the pin apertures of the mains socket are just too small for any of my plugs to fit into. Looks like they've been designed to be the same dimensions as the plug pins, with no allowance for clearance! Suits me.
I dithered over the "good quality" choice. I have had these door bells for a number of years under different brand names (but definitely the same product) and they work well for me with one proviso: They don't enjoy power cuts - so much so that I have had to replace the bell units on a number of occasions because we have had the misfortune to endure a number of power cuts and the bell units tend to break when that happens. My battery ones were a disaster - worked when they felt like it. These are a great buy, loud and with a good choice of sounds, with the added bonus of no loss of use of the plug socket. There are cheaper ones around but these made good sense for me for a fair price and I am delighted with them. Great value for money
I purchased 2 of these to install in my daughter's 17th century home and my son's modern home. Both were easy to fit and work perfectly. I used the screws supplied to attach the bell push in both cases. The clever design meaning that you don't lose a socket is a real bonus. On the remote chance that a neighbour has the same product, it's possible to change the frequency of the signal but it has not been necessary to change from the default setting in either location. Beautiful design and reasonably priced. Volume of sound is loud within house with one Chime and soft touch on bell. Adheres well to sticky pad. Working well so far Negatives are: Second chime not working connected to switch in laundry in back garden, even though within 80m from door.
