This is a great alternative when you can't afford to buy a more expensive sewing machine. The machine came already set up to use with white cotton, which was handy. You can either run this machine using 4 'AA' batteries or mains. The foot peddle is small but works as it should. You can also simply press in the on/off button rather than use the foot peddle and the machine will automatically start to stitch. Great for hemming or other alterations. You could do curtains on it quite easily. The quality of the machine is excellent and not cheap and nasty. In fact, it is very impressive for such a cheap price and I am now thinking of giving a couple out as Christmas presents this year :)

I am not a shower at all but I need some pairs of trousers taking up. This machine is ideal for that. It will do simple seams fairly easily. Because it is small threading it is simple enough but you do need to work within a small area. For a new shower you can sew more slowly with the foot pedal leaving both hands free to guide the material and for the more experienced press the button and it will sew on it's own.

Was really impressed thinking it was great value and just what I needed. Worked on first attempt, but after that wouldn’t pick up the lower thread to make a stitch. Watched every you-tube video for 3 hours explaining how to fix it but nothing worked.

Quite a nippy little thing the only problem I had was to find spare needles. Hobby craft do them quite cheap as well.

Was a bit wary of the quality but was surprised by how good it is. Handy little bit of kit
