After decades of service from a Braun made in Spain coffee bean grinder, the blade gave up the ghost. Available today as a vintage item. This is a similar design, far quieter and produces a better product. I think half the early 1970 price paid. It's Chinese, a little flimsy but more than serviceable. Expected lifespan? to be seen but such a simple design should give a few years. Value for money, yes and I would recommend it.

Perfect for my Beans
I have now had ample opportunity to use this grinder. It is simple to use and has a capacity of half what is required for my filter coffee machine. Simply pour in the beans, place the cover back on (this also contains the button to activate), give it a 20 second whiz open and pour out the coffee grinds into the filter. Repeat (I like my coffee strong) and the machine is ready to turn on. Simple as.I have now had ample opportunity to use this grinder. I do not know why other people are so happy with this coffee grinder. I am not happy at all. the shape of the working chamber does not match the trajectory of the knife, as a result, beans just flying along the chamber's surface and the knife does not get them. even worse grinding cloves, it takes minutes and minutes, and you have to shake the grinder or start with short bursts and stop and start and stop and start again. After first use plastic lost its transparency (it was cloves) as if covered with very small scratches and dimplesI do not know why other people are so happy with this coffee grinder. Compact and easy to use.
I found it easy to use and the coffee beans could be ground to my choice dependant on how long I activated the grinder. Some of the coffee remained in the grinder after use and I found it a little difficult to remove. A little brush with it would be useful.
