I thoroughly enjoyed this book with it's different take on the story of creation. It looks beyond the traditional story without being untrue to it. When I started it I was very unsure where it was taking me as it seemed more like a fantasy or science fiction kind of story. However as I got into it, the threads came together. I particularly liked the way Young managed the story of the temptations experienced by Adam and Eve - avoiding the classic blame game of tradition - Eve gave in first and then tempted Adam so it was really Eve's fault, etc. He did not deviate from the Biblical story very much whilst showing that each human was tempted in their own way. This is definitely a book I would recommend to read whether or not you are a Christian.
