I wish I'd bought the Dewalt
While this saw bench might have won some awards (I cant for the life of me think why) it really is poor craftsmanship.
The only thing I like about it is the way the saw clamps to the bench. Now on to the things that should be ok but are not or are missing on a saw bench.
1) No site is level, even a garage floor.. this bench should have slightly adjusting feet to take into account the different surfaces it might be standing on.
2) The square steel for the extending bars, and the rollers/stop ends always end up at a slight angle which leads to the rollers/stop ends being at a different angle to the saw body. Impossible to cut things precisely.
3) The clamps that hold the rollers/stop ends and extending bars are too flimsy and come loose which ends up in having to do the cut again/ waste of wood. They are just round plastic handles which are far too small, to tighten them up firm enough I had to use pipe grips, I've damaged mine already after a days use.
It didn't help that the rollers were uneven, to get the right height there was only one point the rollers could touch, rather than the whole piece of work supported.
A poor effort, this will be the last time that I buy any of the Evolution brand
