It works well but the user manual sometimes contradicts the on-screen instructions. There are also items in the on-screen menu which are not mentioned in the manual (such as "antenna power" which I have no idea what it does!). Recordings are very large files and good quality which you can transfer from the USB stick to your PC and with the right software convert to other formats or DVD. Considering buying another which will effectively upgrade my old bedroom TV to HD.

Let me explain my review title. easy to set up, and find the channels. Picture reasonable and good selection of freeview stations. Negative on the recording of future proggrames. I have found i have to switch off and back on again, and then set up what i wish to record. If i dont do that, it does not record. Eventually does what i require, so that is why i reccommend. Quality not to good, but better than some i have seen that as the same internal workings.

The Freeview unit is for connection to a terrestrial antenna. It works well and is easy to set up. I have used earlier models for several years. I needed to install a new antenna which I got from Lab Gear via e-bay. I recommend this way for getting TV without broadband or wi-fi (often unreliable) The antenna can be used inside the house if pointed towards a transmitter, eg Crystal Palace.
