Excellent sharpening material.
As an amateur woodcarver I find it difficult to keep the edge on some tools as sharp as possible. I made a strop from an old leather belt and ordered some of the Blue Bar. It is easy to apply to the leather and since it is relatively firm there is no waste or spillage. The results on the carving and whittling tools are excellent and I cannot find any fault with this product, and am happy to commend it to anyone requiring sharp steel tools.As an amateur woodcarver I find it difficult to keep the edge on some tools as sharp as possible. Good compound for both polishing and sharpening fine edges. The only thing I find frustrating is that it's very hard and difficult to spread thinly and evenly on a leather strop. This compound seems very stiff to apply. I note there is a paste in this format so perhaps I should have got that instead. Otherwise doing the job.
