It does the job adequately and the fitting of the handle to the can was easy. .It was useful that the connections are standard thus enabling the connection of a previously purchased automatic self igniting handle to be used .

This is the third one of these I have bought. After a while they seem to clog up and only throw a small flame so I buy another. As a part time plumber I use it to solder 16 and 22mm copper pipe but its a slow job on 22mm. Its best to start a new tank for that job as it has better pressure so more welly. For cleaning wax off skis its ok but as a paint stripping tool it is poor compared to my dads historic Sievert parrafin blow lamp which roars like a trooper but is more troublesome to flash up. So for odd jobs and small jobs its OK. Good luck. Peter.

A good example of a low cost blow lamp adequate for DIY plumbing. No ignition button which would have been nice. Main observation is the poor flame shape that is a bit erratic and not 'shaped' like my previous Butane lamp. Perhaps for the price , I am being a bit unreasonable. The base that makes the lamp a more stable base falls off during use so I glued it on. Does the job at a reasonable price.

Blow lamp quality was good. Gas wouldn't light properly. Changed to an alternative brand and it was perfect. Might be worth running some tests.
