Finally got the mower together (with the help of a friend) and turned it on. It works fine but makes a terribly loud noise. Not yet tried it on the lawn, but that will have to wait until next year now. The mower itself looks pristine, it just wasn't in it's original box, which is no problem. Many thanks.

Neat little machine that does the job!
Once assembled is a neat little mower that does the job. Just make sure handle is put on right way round.As others have said,you do need a bit of strength in wrists to open/ close the handle levers.....and shame the cable is just a few inches short of my garden ( and shorter than the Easiglide Flymo...which I had for 7 years!) Overall prefer this new one though with good clean cut that doesn’t shoot bits over the patio!Once assembled is a neat little mower that does the job. Very flimsy and plastic, grass box poor, can't seem to get it too cut low enough, very disappointed with it, my old Flymo felt so much more substantial. Don't buy!!.Wouo

lightweight and powerful
Bought this model to replace my flymo easimo after the motor seized.This model is slightly smaller and lighter than than the easimo but with a more powerful motor.Once i had the settings right it cut the grass perfectly,ideal for the small to medium lawns. This was a certified silver refurbished model from the Flymo outlet store and would challenge anybody to tell the difference.It came in a Flymo box and you could tell it has never been used. A great little mower at a great price. Same model as works well
I needed to replace an old flymo , I got a new one because. My old one was great I'd had it for many years, so when I need to replace it I got the same model as it worked so well and was easy to use lightweight too.
