I will just add that personally I found the book a superb read. It follows a format which makes reading easy. If you are interested in the “nuts and bolts” of medicine / medical procedures combined with the human stories, this book gives you a feel for this. • Superb story

Excellent true story of the problems encountered with various artificial heart devices and the multiple surgical procedures that were tried. Written by someone who was there at the time and did his utmost to get his patients back from the brink. Sometimes with success but sometimes a sad ending. Riveting reading .

  • Brilliant

The story of a genius. Thanks that we have people like him in the world. But the tales of sorrow are harrowing
