I have read a lot of articles about Umberslade Hall through the years. But this is something else. The author has put in a lot of work. Many details, very interesting.

Good interesting insight into what decisions were made at Umberslade Hall, rightly or wrongly, it seems mostly wrongly. Also it seems BSA and Triumph staff were working against each other rather than with each other. Too much ignoring the information they were getting from people in the front line such as the people testing the bikes. Not enough coordination between Umberslade Hall and the manufacturing locations.

as an ex employee at Umberslade I found I the content fascinating with details I never knew as an apprentice bench fitter at my short time there. More photos would be great but not disappointed with the overall content.

Finally a well compiled inside story from one of the most interesting parts of the British Motorcycle Industry

very good book that fills a niche not so nearly well touched on elsewhere. it lacks a conclusion of where Umberslade sits in the demise of BSA/Triumph....such a shame. But do buy it!
