This was the first digital camera I bought back in 2003 and I loved it. Unfortunately it recently stopped working so I bought two other more up-to-date Fuji cameras. However, although these were good quality, they do not have a viewfinder. Since I take quite a few photos in Spain where the light is very intense, I found I was having to do it by guess work! I really needed my original A203 again so I looked and found it on Ebay. The process was very straight forward, the price was excellent, the seller very efficient and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. Now I can take pics in Spain!!
This camera was exactly what I was looking for, a 'happy snap' camera which, with a card reader enables me to take photos to upload onto eBay when selling an item. For the price, though now quite old, it has got all the features I could ever need. Excellent value for money
This is my second A203 ( and I bought one for my daughter before she dropped it off a pier). I just like this camera because its easy to use, inexpensive, has good battery life (certainly for its age) and it isn't too hungry on memory but still churns out perfectly acceptable snaps. I've had a couple of other similar cameras but neither has come close to this one for all round convenience and ease. And at about £20-30 second hand its great value. Downside is that it does need 2 X AA batteries which need replacing occasionally and the standard 16MB card is a bit small - but its easy to get a 188M or 256MB card.
In my opinion this is one of the better compact digital cameras on the second hand market. I have owned one since they first came out and it's still going strong. It is a very easy camera to use and I have had some very pleasing results from it. I have recommended it to a few people and they've not been disappointed. I bought this one as a gift for my Dad. The only complaints I've heard about it are the size of view finder(a bit on the small side) but the screen is plenty big enough however it can be hard to see in bright sunshine. The zoom sometimes doesn't seem big enough! But if you are after a simple, robust, 'point and click' that doesn't break the bank, then this is the one I'd recommend.
The Fuji cameras I have found to be reliable and of good quality ,so when I wanted a simple digital to put in the pocket to take 'snaps' I looked on ebay for a cheap Fuji ,and the A203 was the one . It is simple to use , has the SD cards which is convenient ( and used in many newer cameras ) ,AA batteries ( easy to obtain ,and reasonably priced ),and I am very pleased with it as it does everything I want . Only downside is no sound , and it is only 2+mp ,but a nice camera .
