Absolutely top class lens. Build quality & image quality are best I have ever experienced, having previously used both Nikon and Canon systems.

A superb lens! Fairly large but considering it's abilities, it could hardly be smaller. Sharp, beautifully made and a joy to use.

I wasn't sure I was going to like this lens. Lack of image stabilisation, size and is it really worth the extra cost compared to the 18-55mm were my main concerns. mage stabilisation has not been a problem, I haven't had one shot blurred by camera movement yet I thought the size would be a problem, but I think the extra weight makes it less prone to shake. It feels really stable and well balanced with the X-T1. Is it worth the extra cost? I would say so. It's great having f2.8 throughout. Looking through the viewfinder is on a par with a top DSLR and the shallow depth of field is great. It also produces more detail, particularly noticeable in close ups. In fact it's on a par with the 35mm f1.4 for being unforgiving in portraits. The XF 16-66mm will be staying on my X-T1 as my everyday lens and the 18-55mm will be up for sale.Read full review
