I actually have 3 of these now. My first has travelled the world with me and sits on my helmet wherever I cycle. However after 5 years, its battery life is now only half an hour instead of the 2 hours it used to be. It records in High Definition and if left filming continuously conveniently slices the video into 3 minute portions which makes any editing easier - or helps you select that bit showing when a car carves you up. My only gripes are: 1. the time display. 2. the start/stop recording button 1. On connecting the camera to the computer, you can run the batch file included in its software which sets the time automatically from the computer - except it doesn't seem to get it right. 2. There are two buttons on the camera: an on/off one and a start/stop one. They're easy to find whilst cycling and a buzzer tells you if you've started or stopped recording. However, on the two latest ones I've purchased, perhaps the contacts aren't as good as they should be as it can take half a dozen presses of the start/stop button to get it recording. 3. Not really a problem as far as I'm concerned but you cannot see what you've filmed immediately. You may remove the card or connect the camera to your mobile phone (using a USB adapter on the cable they provide) to watch the film on computer on phone. It is best to get a good quality (c10) 32 Gb TF card - which should hold about 5 hours' worth of recordings - though I download mine to my computer and erase them from the card as soon as possible. First impressions are that it's a bargain buy with all the features of considerably more expensive cameras ........but then you record something with it and find out that the resolution and quality of the image is so poor it looks like a movie of Post-Impressionism paintings. Playing around with the settings does nothing to alleviate the blocky distorted footage you get from the camera, which gets worse as light levels decrease e.g indoors. In conclusion, save your money for something better

I had to try it a few times before I understood how it works - why - because the translation to English is haphazard at best. I kept switching it off when I thought I was switching it on. I expected the record light to remain on while it was recording - but it does not. The unit is compact but one of the fastenings - the strap one, holds the camera by only 1 screw thread as the screw is too short ( I made another one to substitute) this needs to be rectified in the design. Otherwise the image is good and the mountings work well ( apart from the one mentioned) Also the type of memory card instructions are confusing as the label on the box does not agree with the instruction leaflet. the box says class 6-10 for the memory card - the instructions say class 4 and above. stu

Nice little lightweight camera ideal for helmet mounting. However, comes with a big sparkly gold sticker on the side which, not liking one bit because its out of character with the rest of the camera, I removed, only to find that it was securing the lens cover in a fixed position, which now, because sticker was removed, was loose. So I tightened it up... and straight away the wafer thin glass cover shattered. Needless to say I wasn't very happy but, being a resourceful type, I made myself a new one from clear plastic which is twice as thick and much stronger. So be aware, do not over tighten if you, like me, remove the sticker. Other than that one little thing this camera is great, well worth the price.

Good value. Mine is working fine so far. It records about 2 hours in files of 3 minutes each. After 2 hours it overwrites the oldest one. The battery lasts about 2 hours. The picture quality seems pretty good to me, but I have nothing to compare it with. It can record a number plates of oncoming bars legibly and adjusts well to changes of light and shade, but I haven't tried using it in the dark. Seems quite robust and well-made. The brackets etc are also quite robust. I thought of attaching it to my cycle helmet, but it would stick out too far and be too heavy to be comfortable (as well as looking stupid) but perhaps that applies to all type of action camera. It works fine on the handlebar. The English translation of the instuctions is very poor, but you eventually work out what they are saying.Read full review
