Motherboard arrived in a cardboard box filled with newspaper shreddings (impact absorbant yes, but interesting choice of padding). Motherboard itself was inside bubble wrap and wrapped tightly in kitchen cling film. Upon testing with seperate kits of RAM and multiple GPUs, the first RAM slot appears faulty and the system will not post with a stick of RAM inserted in said slot. If the RAM is placed in the other slot the system will boot just fine. The system will not post if there is a graphics card installed (multiple known working cards from other machines have been tested in this motherboard and have the same problem. It is being used with an EVGA 500W PSU as well as being tested with an EVGA 750W 80 Plus Gold modular PSU so there is ample power being supplied to the hardware. i got the board and spent a lot of my time installing it putting cpu paste fans all the stuff you putto a pc build and then the mother board was bricked so i had to send it back so no it was no good and yes it did cost me money and yes it did waste me a lot of time

This item was bought as a replacement for one that had started to fail. One thing to note is that it had had a bios update to the latest full release and the bios splash screen isn't displayed until after the POST. So to get into bios setup you have to press DEL when you hear the single POST beep, while the screen is still blank. The splash screen just shows "Gigabyte etc" but with no instructions on "F" buttons to press. Remember it is F12 to get into the boot order menu. Having said that, after I fitted the board and made a few adjustments to the bios everything worked just fine. Would definitely recommend this board and supplier.
