This a 140g tube of Granville Exhaust Assembly Paste. It lubricates and seals joints during assembly, and is capable of withstanding temperatures of more than 100 degrees Celsius. This high-quality paste is asbestos free and is straightforward to use as it has a good flow and a useful consistency. This makes it is easy to work with, especially as it offers an excellent early-grab and incredibly fast bond strength development.

    Good for fixing exhaust leaks, and toilets.

    This sealant helped me to repair my blowing motorbike exhaust, which after 17 years in place was in a bad way. Rather than get the official gaskets, which are £8 each and probably quite a faff, I used this stuff and a jubilee clip. The instructions state that after applying the sealant, the parts must be joined 'immediately', since it goes hard straight away. However, I found it to be more forgiving than that, especially since it took me 20 minutes to get the exhaust onto the bike. At that point it says to start the engine, and the heat will expand the sealant and cure it. I presume it did, because a deep bass note came out of my exhaust that I haven't heard for years, and the performance is back to where it should be. Job done. I've since used it to fix a toilet, but that's another story.

    Potentially great product.

    I haven't used the paste yet, but the tube is heavy (sign of quality?) and the packaging is eye-catchingly colourful, so, it will be easy to find in my garage. It's also asbestos free, -not that that bothers me personally, as I wont be sniffing it.

    Good product suitable for many hot jointing jobs.

    A very useful jointing compound for all very hot places. Soft and easy to apply. Dries by the heat of the job. I have used it to fix up an old stove as well as on the car exhaust pipe. Not expensive, either. If you're trying to fix a hole, you will need a bit of metal to go over the outside of the repair and something to hold it on.

    M3 exhaust

    Used it on joining the header with cats x pipe on a m3 new set of exhaust gaskets install. Have it for a couple of hours of drive and is holding ok...no burn...change of colour...smell ...of the paste for now. Easy to apply. Don't think is taking a lot of pressure from exhaust as I've done new gasket rings... I actually can see the paste and it hasn't changed in colour for now. I'm happy . Cheers.

    Excellent product

    Easy to use and works well, i waist lot of time trying to fix my motorcycle exhaust, with this product it was 10min job. Before i start engine, apply heat with heating fan, to avoid blow out seal. Im impressed with result.
