    Excellent degreaser!

Has done a superb job of de-gunking grease and oil of exterior motobike components (swingarm, sprockets, chain guard etc). Poured a little into a pot and applied it with an old toothbrush. Left it for 20 seconds then agitated it with the brush. A few minutes of elbow grease applied and each part was shiny clean again. Very impressed with this Gunk product!

  • Most critical review

Not the same as it used to be

It's a good degreaser, but only is as good as paraffin, last lot I had in the seventies was far stronger, this one has lost it's original aroma, doesn't penetrate like it used to. I dare say to do with the now popular health and safety bull, the real cleaning agent's been taken out

  • Get the old style gunk in a tin.

Make sure you get the old style gunk in a tin rather than the pink stuff in a plastic container. The pink stuff is probably great for the environment but a complete waste of time in order to get the job done. What's the point of that?

  • Best degreaser on the market

Gunk lives up to a standard hard to beat. In larger quantities like the 5 litre works out economical also. Either spray or brush application. I had a empty spray gunk bottle which I refill for initial coverage which ensures hard to reach areas get coated. Then use a small paint brush to loosen the worst. Re-apply where necessary. Finally rinse with water using a similar method. Not a cheap degreaser but always remember, you get what you pay for.

  • Engine degreaser

There are so many engine degreaser on the market i had to choose a brand name that i recognised, initial results are good, also the smell was quite nice, just saying!
