Having seen this in 1998 when first broadcast on BBC2, I suddenly found myself thinking about it recently. After buying it, I remembered how wonderful this comedy is, full of dark characters, most notably Peter Serafinowicz's portrayal of the nasty brother-in-law, with a tendency to hit Dylan Moran's put upon character Ian at any given opportunity. After the end of Men Behaving Badly, Simon Nye came up with he sort of story you'd only expect from The League of gentleman. Very funny, and very darkly comic.
This is a must see series if you are a fan of Four Weddings and a Funeral and Black Books. It has its week points but the overall series is dry witty humour.
Few people seem to remember the series but it's an absolute gem. Dylan Moran was never better, gently playing the fish out of water character.
