This was my first dropper post so nothing to compare it to apart from QR seat post clamps and wiggling the post up and down on the trails (not fun). For the price, availability in 27.2mm size, and ease of fitting, you can't beat this post. I have one minor niggle. I like to slam my saddle far back on the rails as I have a long torso and find it hard to get bikes that are big enough in the top tube length. Most saddles have a slight drop at the nose end and when I first installed the seat to my desired position, the adjustment lever wouldn't move through it's full travel therefore not engaging the drop mechanism fully. The post would not budge. I didn't realise this was the problem until I sent a video of the issue to the seller and they spotted it straight away. I slid the saddle forwards a little and problem solved. Luckily the seat post has layback so it didn't considerably affect my riding position. The saddle angle is adjustable however it accentuates the issue noted above. If you set the saddle perfectly horizontal and make sure it's not too far back on the rails you'll be fine. If you like to tip the nose down a little then you could have lever problems. I'd give the saddle five stars if saddle position was fully adjustable without affecting the lever. Adding this post to my bike has massively increased my enjoyment of riding, especially at trail centres where you are switching between climbing and descending much more frequently than on a natural trail.Read full review

I'm doing a few drop bar Gravel Enduro events and I need to get the saddle out of the way on some technical and downhill sections, but back up for the grinding in between. I decided this was a better alternative than marking up my regular carbon seatpost by adjusting and re-clamping on the trail. It does everything you would expect within the restrictions of the manual lever application. It's reliable and as it's now considered redundant as remote droppers are the norm - it's a bargain.. For my needs - a drop bar gravel rig - it's great.

KS eten dropper seatpost freat value for a quality seatpost...easy to use under saddle lever means no cable to the handlebar. there is no ajustment for the saddle angle though this is determined by the angle of your seat tube very happy with this purchase

Good points: - Uncomplicated - just a seatpost, no cables, remotes, etc. - Cheap - for £65 Inc postage, it is a bargain. Bad points: - Lever seemed to get stuck in the "up" position, meaning the post would not stay down or up. However this was sorted by putting a couple of cable ties on the rails of the saddle to restrict the levers movement. - Unknown long term reliability

Everyone should use a dropper seat post. I'm not a mountain biker my dropper helps with slight adjustment to relieve bum ache during a ride and it's also marvellous to help me slide off my bike easily after a fabulous day.
