Easy to use, does a great job!
Who knew there could be THAT much dirt in a carpet? After using a tank of clean water + cleaning solution, the water in the waste tank was completely black. I probably have to use a few more tanks to get it all out, but this carpet cleaner is doing a fantastic job. It's easy to fill and easy to pour the wastewater out. I bought this cleaner so I wouldn't have to replace the high traffic runner in my hallway, and now I have a clean runner and a steam carpet cleaner, which was cheaper than the new runner would have been.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wonderful product but...
Since the day I have received this product, it has met my expectations. I live in a small apartment where I do not have much carpet. However, the little carpet that it does have, there are years of stains embedded in it. I had it professionally steamed cleaned but the stains were stubborn and therefore remained. But after using the Hoover carpet cleaner, not only did it removed the stains, it also picked up items from the carpet as it was a vacuum cleaner. Now do not get me wrong. I vacuumed the carpet prior to cleaning it. Whatever the vacuum cleaner did not get, the Hoover did. I am impressed. Conversely, however, it is sad to see that replacement parts are not available for this item. As of June 12, 2019, I have done a little research as to were I could purchase replacement parts if need be. I could not find any on the Hoover website; nor could I find any anywhere else. The myriad 5-star reviews are true! Someone said this machine was second only to God. I would have to agree. This Hoover model is exquisite in its design and it does not try to do or be too much. What it does is a thorough and complete carpet clean. The mechanics of the machine are straightforward, user-friendly and the design really considers the user. The water/soap bin could not be easier to work with and the dirty-water/filter bin is likewise super efficient and easy to deal with - even with a bad back! This is by far the best carpet cleaner i have had. It is simple and well constructed. I have had carpet cleaners that cost almost $500 and this one is hands down better is quality and construction. What makes this carpet cleaner so good is its construction and simple design. This is just your basic well build carpet cleaner. Trust me if you get one of those fancy ones, they will work great for the short term, but will break or start leaking and that is just a pain in the butt.. Great product with a few very minor flaws
Great product used it quite a bit and am surprised at the results machine works great and would recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful light weight carpet cleaning machine there are a few minor flaws in the product however the power coard is a bit on the short side and the snap on the mesh bag for the upholstery tool broke after the first use other than those minor things the machine works great and i would give it a 4.5 star rating even the small bottle of cleaner supplied with the machine lasted surprisingly long long enough to clean my small townhouse completely the hose and upholstery attachment are easy to connect and the machine has a nice power coard storage system for keeping the coard nice and tidy there is plenty of suction to remove as much of tge water from the carpet as possible and the small amount of detergent use is great for saving you money on the detergent if you are looking for a lightweight compact powerful machine this is the machine for youVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good Value, Good Performance
I paid less than $100 for this machine (new), but after using it the first time, it is well worth the price. Compared to other machines I have used, this machine is very quiet. The tanks are large, easy to install and remove, and it did a nice job cleaning the carpeting, as evidenced by the black water in the collection tank. The machine did a reasonably good job of extracting the water from the carpet, as the carpet was completely dry in about 3 hours. It is easy to maneuver, and I really didn't find anything to complain about. The quality is good for the price, and the 2-year warranty is attractive as well.
