After many years of interest in existentialism and its active implementation in life, I accidentally came across this book and got drawn to its title. In contrast to many previous books about existentialism, this book goes beyond a description of existentialism, into how to 'be an existentialist'. Gary Cox PhD presents existentialism as a skill. He challenges the reputation existentialism has for being pessimistic by exposing its honest, yet uplifting nature. The author offers practical advices on how to live authentically and in the now. Cox's writing style is succinct and very entertaining. The only disadvantage of the book is its length...I truly wish it was much longer.
