Of course, nothing beats the original but this provides an almost equal experience, and what more can you ask from a clone console. It arrived in the condition described. It feels sturdy and it's slightly smaller than the Genesis, making it easier to store. The controller it came with feels a lot like the original Genesis controller. The only issue I ran into was that I almost couldn't insert a cartridge into it because the pins are so tight.

I bought a Japanese Mega Drive game to play on MegaRetroN hd and it also plays perfectly. The games look great in HD and they all play and sound fine. The six button controller is responsive, sturdy, feels similar to the original and has a decently long cord. Overall the console is pretty good quality and inexpensive as well.
