Over Chirstmas we have always had a family tradition of watching at least one movie together as a full family. When my sister and I where 5 and 8 this was no doubt Mary Poppins, Willy Wonka or Bedknobs and Broomsticks... then as we grew this changed to Toy Story, the lion king etc and more recently to Christmas themed grown up films like Millions.... This year I bought this as my punt for a good family film for a grown up family (me now at 30 and my sis a few years behind), I must say, it did not disappoint at all :) Its gritty but ultimatly uplifting, it has some very real and issue based content but never veers off something you could watch with your mother :) all in all a really great purchase.
I just stumbled upon this film ,flicking through for films to watch i like nice feel good type films to watch and this is one to watch,it has a very sexy irish paddy Considine as the father of these adorable sisters, the story is told through their eyes. They move to new York to this ramsacked place but are so easy going they are not at all fazzed by it .If you have seen the film Hideous Kinky with kate Wislet it's relaxed and fun like that, running around with bare feet.Would watch this again Funny, heart warming sad
I have seen this film before, but wanted to watch it with again with someone who hasn't seen it. It is one of my favourite films. The film shows how a family deal with the searing pain of loss, another character relishes every second of life knowing that his own death is part of those remaining seconds. Ultimately though, there is acceptance.
Just brilliant 👍
