Looks good but does not function very well.
The feeder looks good and in theory should work, However whilst the drive screw system works, the feed drop aperture flap is to small. The food flake or pellets " I have tried both " get compressed in to a hard lump/block, Thinking that the flake I had may have been damp " which it turned out it was not " I bought a new tin and a tin of the pellets at the same time, same result system gets blocked, fish did not get feed delivered for 3 days, so I had to hand feed them each day. on the 4th day a large lump of food sprayed out of the feed aperture ?. I have reset the system 3 times adjusted the feed amount, etrc, etc, no good this product I am sorry to say, just does not doo what is says on the box. Please note I had made sure every time I tried, that I pressed the manual/check delivery ... This one works
I have tried several automatic fish feeders and they all suffer from splashes from fish causing the food to clog up and not feed the fish. Even the rotating feeders which retract still blocks up. This is the first feeder which actually works all the time. Like other feeders it has a facility for injecting air to help keep the food dry. I recommend that you use the air injection. Easy to use and does not clog up.
Easy to program and turn on and off. Can be adjusted between 1 and 8 turns up to 4 times a day so easy to alter food quantity. Works best with granules but will also work with flake. There is provision to attach an airline which blows air through the food and outlet which prevents clogging.I recommend the use of this.
