hello there and welcome from Ebay review of JVC HA-RX300 HEADPHONES. These headphones are equipped with 40 mm drivers which allows a better deep bass design for house, reggae or rap genres. At a price point under $20 these phones are a fair deal and include a swivel cord to prevent tangling of the wire. Hope this well known brands stands the test of time in my studio.
Though these sound fine when connected to my stereo where I have plenty of power to turn the volume up to a decent level the same could not be said when connected to a portable device. The volume level even maxed out was very low. The headphones are very power inefficient and can't produce decent volume on a portable device. At least not what I consider decent. I gave them away.

These headphones are very high quality especially for the price. I use them for digital recording where I play electronic drums, electric guitar and other live intsturments. The only thing that could be better, from a recording standpoint, is that they do not have any noise cancelling capability, so I get some bleed through when recording. For mixing, and just listening to music though, the quality is fantastic.
Good sounding headphones with OK Bass. But when hooked to my Bass Amp the volume has to be 25% higher to get the same volume level as my Sony MDR and Phillips. When listening to Movies or music on my PC and TV they produce a little better overall sound than the Sony's but have to be turned up much more to get the same volume.
For the money, these are decent headphones. I wasn't looking for anything spectacular - just cheap and sufficient. I prefer the over-the-ear type. These are somewhat of a loose fit, and didn't block out much noise during a recent airplane flight, but I wasn't expecting them to be great.
