If you like your blues on the heavy side, a la Led Zeppelin, your gonna love this. A mixture of self penned epics and blues standards together with a few cover versions this is a must for anyone who loves 70s style hard blues/rock. I bought it primarily for the amazing cover of Zeppelins 'Tea for one' at over 9 minutes long slightly longer than the original and dare I say it, better!!! This guy is up there with your Stevie Rays and Jeff Healeys, I have not heard any of his other albums but 'You and Me' really hits the spot.
Joe Bonamassa is in my opinion the new mesiah of the blues/rock guitar. I only discovered him in October, hence buying his latest cd. Since then I have bought another two of his cd's and have got tickets to see him in March at the Shepherds Bush Empire. This guy just oozes blues and raw talent. Ray Ham
Yes this is Joe's latest offering, and if your into the blues check this one out. Joe Bonamassa is definately a talented guitar player and it shows on this album (in fact all his albums). Joe's influences are definately in there SRV, EC BB ect, nothing wrong with that!. My favorite is bridge to better days but they are all very good. It is one of those albums that the more you listen the better it gets. Time will tell whether joe will go down in history as one of the blues greats, maybe he's on his way there now. Check this album out now.
This CD is superb. After hearing Joe do a session on Radio 2, I had to go and buy a CD of his....I was not disappointed. Joe uses a combination of styles from Hendrix to SRV to Satriani to Lightening boy etc etc. His guitar playing is just amazing, with a bonus of a reasonable voice as well!! This CD is a must for your collection.
