I like everything about this album sound quality-wise and I still really like this Singer's voice. I chose this album because it contained five out of seven songs that I really like by Johnny Tillotson, but all of His other albums contain only about three or four. He was a great Singer and released some really nice songs too. They weren't all number ones here, but I think they could or should have been but for our own and other U.S artists. In 1960 when His first hit here ''Poetry in motion'', came out, Cliff and Adam were starting to really take off , Elvis had just left The Army and we were about to be hit with Bobby Vee, Del Shannon and the like as well. Johnny Tillotson was just a bit type cast song-wise, but nobody could ever sing the same songs He did the way He did though. The closest to Him voice-wise was Tommy Roe. I have had a cassette of all Johnny Tillotson's songs for some years which I was even still playing until now. But due to the quality of the new digital re-mastering technique, this album on CD with most of His songs that are my favourites sounds absolutely top quality. It was possibly due to a lack of material and the success of other singers in The U.S that Johnny Tillotson's career didn't last longer, He wrote some songs that weren't bad at all but perhaps were not top ten potential, but there are a lot of people that liked Him and all of the very good songs He sang and they still do too. I am also one of them, that is especially as I now have this album too.Read full review
