This is a great starter camera that you can grow into very quickly. It is made for the novice or the more sophisticated photographer. CCD image stabilizing allows for long, stable shoots and has many lens accessories, filters and extensions available. Great for up close macro shooting and also great for landscapes. Sleek style is not cumbersome. Compares very well with the Canon AE series and the Nikon X700 series. I recommend this camera highly. The Z6 is the mother lode of SLR professionalism and the simplicity of Digital. Large 2.1 inch screen allows for easy set-up and simple editing procedures. Video movies are clear and can be moderately edited for length using the camera. Software is great for print and some less sophisticated photo shop procedures.I have had over a dozen Cameras, Canons, Nikons, and Olympus. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS CAMERA! BUY 5 of em, you will not be disappointed!Read full review
I started with a Minolta SR1 went to a Minolta XD11 and then an older Minolta Dimage VII before moving on to a Konica Minolta Z3 which was an improvement sold that for my current Konica Minolta Z6 which has been an excellant choice for me.... I am now buying my second Z6 as I need it for my job inspecting used vehicles as I hated the poor quality I was getting with my work issued iPad 2 which took too long to take pictures and killed the battery in a short period of time... It's a shame that Konica Minolta decided to get out of the photography field as I've always been a Minolta Fan.... I like the versatility this camera allows me in all conditions and I like the quality of pictures that I can easily upload to my laptop and email them to the sorry excuse of my company issued iPad 2 which I hate due to its finicky nature of shutting itself off if temperture nears its shutoff range of 95 degrees F... My Z6 allows me to continue my job while the piece of junk iPad cools down and works again....Read full review
The camera takes excellent pictures but I give it only an average rating for the following reasons. I suggest buying rechargeable batteries because this camera will drain regular batteries very quickly. There are a number of adjustments you can make on this camera and you will need to do just that depending on the situation. If you are taking still photos then it is a easy and great camera to use and you will get quality photos. If on the other hand you are taking pictures of your children or things that move you need to make the appropriate adjustments to the settings to avoid blurry pictures. While I do like the camera to be honest for normal picture taking you may get better results from a less epensive point and shoot camera. I have this camera and also a Cannon and an HP. To take a quick picture and not have to fiddle with adjusting the settings my wife's HP is the camera we use most. For close up shots and more professional applicaions the Minolta is a very good camera.Read full review
I've owned one of these for MANY years and loved it! My favorite part is the macro's. I've gone as far as to put the lens ON a flower petal and taken UNREAL pictures of the morning dew ON the petal. The only cons that I've run into is the weight. With four "AA" batteries, it does tend to weigh a little bit. Another "problem" is that I have YET to find a REASONABLY priced camera that will take SHARP pictures in LOW light without the flash. WITH the flash, it's excellent, but if you're taking pictures of say, LED lighting on a motorcycle at night, it doesn't turn out all that great. Overall, you will NOT be disappointed with this camera, easy to use, yet some of the BEST photo's I've seen.
I have had 3 of the Konica DiMage cameras and this is a good camera for the price. My friend put me onto this camera and now both daughters use one, also. I shoot pics of flowers, wildlife, ect.for cards and jewelry sales. I like both the Macro and 12X zoom plus the anti-shake system that is used by the Reflex SLR. When I purchased it was one of the few cameras with the great zoom and I have packed it all over the US. I wish I could show the pics that has been taken with this camera. For beginners it is easy to use. Easy flash, good access to SD card and regular batteries that you buy anywhere. I use lithium. It handles well even though larger but I have not found the 12X zoom in a smaller model and I need that.
