If you want to add extra case fans to your pc, but you don't have any extra fan headers on your motherboard, this worked great for me, very simple to install, just plug both fans into the y splitter, then onto your motherboard header. It looks good being black braided cable. Things to consider, check how far the cable needs to reach so you have enough length to plug it in, you can get the in longer lengths. Mine was for a side case fan which joined to the rear exit fan on the pc case, if you wanted to link a front fan you might need a longer y splitter.

Akasa products are usually reliable, doing what they're designed to do and this x2 fan-splitter is no exception. One fan is fully 4 pin wired PWM and that controls the speed if your MB and the fan itself, of course, has PWM support. The other fan is connected only by 3 pins, but PWM or not, will run at the same speed as the 'master' fan.....................apparently. There is conflicting information about that even on very knowledgeable PC forums but my own experience of using these Akasa splitters is that it does appear to be the case. Just from the look and the sound I can see and hear that whichever fan is connected to the 3 pin plug it appears to be running at the same speed as the 4 pin one. I've only tried with other matched PWM capable fans and that might make a difference. What I am certain of is in that case the 3 pin connected fan definitely isn't running constantly at full speed as some forum posters suggest it would do. If it was it would be very obvious as my system is so well ventilated even in the summer none of the 120 mm Akasa Viper fans (600 - 1900 RPM) go much above 60% of top speed anyway. Read full review

This is a high quality cable made to supply power and control in 4 pins for two fans from a single motherboard header. It is very good quality and reasonably priced.

Worth buying a branded cable everytime, tried the slightly cheaper unbranded cables and have had nothing but trouble with them, save yourself some time and effort.

Simple to use and very tidy. I found that it worked with zero trouble and it was also long enough to allow me to do cable management on it useful as I do prefer at least trying to have some order in my PC Case.
