loctite products
loctite 243 is a good tool, but I believe there is not the quantity in the tube that is quoted on it, there has to be air space or it would go solid, I am sure that there is not 3ml. it would be difficult to measure but having used loctite for many years in industry the tube was very flat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A little dab of blue
Loctite 243 is an upgrade on 242. I bought it to lock generator mounting screws and the clutch basket nut inside a Ducati 250 engine because it’s oil and heat resistant. I cleaned the screws and holes as best I could then added a dab of 243 to each screw (and nut). Only time will tell of course, but I’m confident they will stay put

Need I say more? In all honesty only time will tell if it's done its job properly but the previous Loctite 243 held a device attached to the prop shaft of my boat. It span at 2500rpm and sometimes up to 3400 for about 200 hours over two years constantly under water. It required a moderate bit of force to release it but then unscrewed easily. It's from Loctite and does what is says on the label.
Perfect for my application; locking a component semi-permanently into a clamp. Can see that in the correct application this will also probably form a good gas/liquid seal around threads (but you will need to check chemical compatibility). Just like the original.
