    Saved my gearbox

    Had a slipping automatic gearbox in my 4x4 put two bottles in it with a fluid and filter change a voila gearbox is like brand new well chuffed with it but small tip warm the bottles up first as it’s quite thick in the bottle I stood my bottles in a bucket of hot water for 30 min prior to use

    Made my gearbox far worse.

    My car had developed a leak of oil from its gearbox.Although a manual gearbox, this stuff claims to fix leaks in all types of gearbox. I used half a bottle as is recommended for "compact cars". Once this stuff was added the leak became MUCH worse almost immediately. I took the car for a drive in the hope of it starting to work better when it got circulating. But that never was the case. The leak became so bad that it was coating my car's underbody and suspension in oil (now stained red by the additive). Not only did it make my gearbox worse it ruined my block paved drive. When I purchased this stuff I suspected that it probably wouldn't work - but I never dreamed it could have such a catastrophic effect as this.

    Stopped hard shifting and slip

    Have used lucas transmission fix in my vectra c auto af40 gearbox asionwarner box and on my dads insignia as well changed fluid first then add works in both cases after a short run no hard shifting on my dads and removed slip and hard shifting on my vectra has been OK for two years and 20000 miles is getting ready for change and another bottle would recommend this product to anyone but if you see metal bits or have lost gears it will be to late your box is fooked so do not waste your money but for slip and hard shifting this lucas transmission fix is excellent

    Automatic transmission saviour

    I add this to my automatic gearbox when I change the fluid every second service since I first had transmission problems. Every 24,000 miles. More frequently than recommended but not expensive. It kept my first faulty gearbox running for another 100,000 miles. I then had a 60,000 miles second hand gearbox fitted and continued with the same practice. That gearbox is still working as new 220,000 miles later - I am a private hire driver. My latest car (2010 Volvo S80 D3) has just gone in for a 340,000 miles service and gearbox fluid change with this additive and I expect it to go on smooth as silk and trouble free for at least another 100,000 miles, hopefully more..

    snake oil?

    Absolutely not have used this on two of my cars that had just started to slip and hard shift, on one I replaced fluid and filter at same time on the other just drained a small amount of old stuff out before adding stop slip to both. Results were almost imeadiatly noticeable no slipping or hard shifts. still running one of them with another 20,000 miles so far. Now one thing if your box is in limp mode , has missing grinding gears don't bother used early on a slightly worn box it's fine, noticed most negative reviews seem to expect far to much, it's not miracle stuff just practical liquid engineering.
