    Great copy of Girling brake tool, (which is no longer available).Quality tool which works well.

    A good copy of the old Girling UK brake hose clamp; same appearance, dimensions, weight and quality - although the rivets holding it together are not as solid as on the original tool. Used to seal off a car heater hose during parts replacement - it worked a treat and speeded up the job considerably. Not cheap at over £8.00 but you get what you pay for!.All in all this tool is worth having.

    Do you not use this on flexible plastic piping

    This product probably works very well on rubber hose but is useless on flexible plastic piping. I set it to the tightest setting and ended up with power steering fluid all over the garage floor. It let it leak out like a sieve. I went back to long nosed mole grips with rubber tubing on the ends and it worked a treat. I'll stick to them from now on.

    Quality and precision of tool could be improved.

    I have used this tool already and it worked fine. I am sure that it will last for many years. I did think that the screw could be made to tighter tolerances as it is a bit of a slack fit. This does detract slightly from the tool which is otherwise good value for the price.

    Have to ship from England

    Had this tool prior for 20 + years, and lost it. Works great on flex brake lines, but that's about it on sizes, so a bit limited. Ordered this new one before I tried the multi pack from Harbor Freight, which is way cheaper and does a whole range of sizes, and did'nt have to wait 3 weeks for delivery. Bottom line: it won't wear out, and you won't break it, but why can't the equivalent be found here in the US?
