NORA ROBERTS AS J D ROBB - LOYALTY IN DEATH
I started to read J D Robb books simply because I had read all of the books she wrote as Nora Roberts. I didn't want to read them - I'm definitely not into crime fiction but with no alternatives available - I tried one. I was convinced I wouldn't like it even before I started reading but within the first few pages - I was totally hooked. Roberts is such a clever writer. This whole, huge 'In Death' series of books, are set fifty years in the future. Not too far in the future that it doesn't make sense to the reader - yet far enough distant, that the crimes in the book are separated from the current day reader. This makes them great for bedtime reading. Loyalty in Death was a brilliant read. Every 'In Death' book is different from the next. Amusing in places, romantic in places but ...
