The spool head is heavier than a standard torch, the lead is lighter and is easier to drag around. Mine came with the two motor wires reversed, so fed back into spool, and after contacting Static it was an easy home fix. If you are thinking of buying this for any other welder then check with Static first as these tend to be quite machine specific and this one everything is controlled by the welder itself, burnback, current and wire speed

I took it to bits to find the fault (jamming brushes) . I was pleasantry surprised by the quality when I took it to bits it was a cheap gun. I just needed to weld alloy for a few days and so I wasn't expecting it to last long. Inside it was well made. For the money it is amazing. When I couldn't sort the fault with the first gun, static Arc sent me one no quibble at all. very happy. Thanks
