Great head at cheap price, works also for fluid pan and tilts, currently using it on a motorized slider, only problem is the tilt handle touching the slider on tilt ups (solution: flipping the the plate). highly recommended product

A fairly dismal 3-way head, even for one of Manfrotto’s low-end offerings. In use, the head was imprecise, given to droop, flexy, was very difficult to lock down without composition altering and was barely able to support a mirrorless compact with a smallish prime lens. It’s range of motion is VERY restricted, much more so than any other design I’ve tried over the years, which was often frustrating in that the head appeared to object to anything you wanted it to do and put up a determined and spirited resistance. Which is boring. Oddly enough, it feels solidly made. It isn’t especially light, but if you were to hold one in a shop you wouldn’t expect it to perform so badly. I make allowances for the fact that this is a cheap tripod head aimed at keeping weight down and not claiming to support big heavy combinations. Even so, I found it unusable. You’d be better off with a small ball head - smaller, lighter and simpler, and in any event this isn’t really a true 3-way head anyway.Read full review
