By far the best episode in the boxset was Cigarette Burns, and it was also the one I watched first, which set up high expectations for the rest of the episodes to come. However, about half of the episodes were evidently poorly directed and seemed rushed, and on occasion, more funny than scary. Another episode that redeemed the set was Chocolate, which adopted a rather unique plotline, and utilised more subtle techniques to achieve entertainment, unlike some of the horror archetypes contained within the set. Definitely worth a watch once over, and maybe worth pulling out again if you have friends round, but nothing of any special merit as a set. 3.5/5 or 7/10 would be my overall rating for the set. I think you can buy Cigarette Burns on a single DVD, and I would highly recommend that. My rating for that by itself would be 8.5/10Read full review
A compendium of short horror tales of true masters of horror. This is the kind of throwback to the likes of the legendary Twilight Zone, Tales from the Crypt and Creepshow. Stories and fables that make you...well from one enthusiast to another - you get the idea. Enjoy
Only watched the first 3 films. Worth the money already. If you like any of the directors, or just like horror, this is worth a look.
