Got a real bargain through eBay.ie on this one
I'm still reading this book but so far it's been a good read. I think of other Vietnam movies during some scenes from the book and I think that the author has dumbed down some of the atmosphere, language, grit for the sake of the reader. I still don't know what year is the main characters tour of duty is talking place. I can probably see this book being made into a movie itself, but hopefully if this happens some of the wrinkles will be ironed out. (although books are normally much better than the movie).
