The brush is somewhat clumsy to use being bulbous at either end & consequently holds quite a lot of mascara loaded onto the lashes. It doesn't separate the lashes when applied & takes a while to dry & looks clumpy at the finish. I had to then separate the lashes with an eyebrow brush. Rise and Lift was negligible, I didn't see any difference between this and my other Max factor mascara types. However, it does get close to the lash roots, but leaves a untidy finish on the lash line due to the enormous brush. had to use many cotton buds to remove excess. Must be done whilst still moist otherwise it fixes. Is also not so easy to remove with my usual Garnier eye makeup remover, is persistent on the lashes and requires several attempts to clean it off completely. I

Thick and fairly mucky. The shape of the brush did nothing to alleviate this. To be fair, this may have just been an old product..there was a loosely attached (European) minus 50% label with it. The black was a good deep shade, but gave up on using the mascara, as it just stuck my eyelashes together in clumps..even with the use of an old mascara wand to remove some of the thick bits. would not use again.
