      great replacement for Ambroid Tac n Place

      I've been impressed with Microscale products for years, and this is my first time using liquitape. I used to use Ambroid's "Tac N Place" which is essentially the same adhesive - much like a post it note adhesive in that it dries clear, remains tacky, and can be repositioned numerous times. When Ambroid disappeared from the market, I began the search for a replacement adhesive, and this is it. I use it to adhere transparency film marquee placards to a lighted drive in movie sign on my HO scale layout, so it "advertises" the movie that is showing on the drive in screen. Glad to know I've got a suitable replacement!

      Another tool for modelers

      This Liquitape works great when you want to temporarily fasten two (or more) pieces of a model together to check fitment, perform body work, or if you want to paint the pieces together, but then separate prior to assembly. This is often the case when I build plastic model cars and I want to do all three of the suggestions mentioned above - I can “glue” body parts together, check the fit and modify as need, doing body work as needed, and then I can paint the parts as a whole, separate them for assembly, and know they’ll fit together and the paint will match perfectly. It’s very tacky glue, and you can remove and refit the parts multiple times. When you’re done it washes off easily. Highly recommended.

      Small parts good/ large parts not so good.

      Works great for very small pieces during mockup of models but heavier pieces such as wings at the wing root it will not hold. Was first time using so maybe need more experience with it. Directiions were a little confusing and wasn't sure if I was supposed to wait till it was completely dry and tacky or connect pieces when still wet.

      You will want some of this

      Liquitape is one of those great products from Microscale, that few know about. Any modeler or other will eventually have a need for a non-permanent glue that can be used multiple times to affix and un-affix two objects.
