Easy Fix for my Microwave
Our nice stainless stell DeLonghi combination microwave/oven/grill had given us around 10 years good service until it stopped heating with the microwave. The lights still came on and the turntable went around, but it didn't heat anything! A bit of research revealed that a common problem with microwaves in general is that the high voltage fuse inside ages and eventually fails, even when the appliance is fine. I opened the unit, locate the fuse, identified the ratings and found this cheap replacement on eBay which was cheap and arrived quickly. Once fitted everything worked again perfectly! NOTE: I am a qualified electronics engineer and used to servicing electronic equipment - I do not recommend unqualified people opening any such appliance! Anyhow, it was good to find this part so ... Replacement of high voltage fuse in microwave oven
Caution: Potentially lethal high voltage even when microwave oven is not plugged in. Large high voltage capacitor must be safely discharged before replacing this fuse.

Fixed the microwave, brilliant
Microwave oven revived by a bit of effort and a new fuse. Saved getting another. Very easy to fit for someone who understands how the casing is fitted on. As with all appliances, UNPLUG before starting. Ideally, since they have capacitors, unplug for 24 hours before starting - just to be safe :-)
