Highly recommended tape measure.
Overall, an excellent 5metre / 16' tape measure. The casing feels good and robust, with the familiar black rubberised sections to grip on to. The belt clip is basic but works fine. Having owned a previous Milwaukee tape, this one is a little smaller and easier to hold. I like the 27mm tape width, and the markings are good and clear. The end piece is not as wide as on the last model, and consequently, does not weigh the tape down as much when it is extended. That said, it will not hook on to the side quite as well. The magnet work OK. The 'standout' is fine for my purposes, and will extend well over 2.5 metres horizontal without dropping.I note that Milwaukee have added a 'clear reinforcing section' on the underside of the end 150mm of the tape. Given that my last tape split here, this ... Overall, an excellent 5metre / 16' tape measure. The casing feels good and robust, with the familiar black rubberised sections to grip on to. The notch on the case to slow the recoiling tape with your finger works fine, and so far the lock mechanism seems good. My only quibble is that the lock slides down to to edge of the casing, and it is not so easy to get your thumb under the control to release it. Otherwise, I highly recommend this tape measure.
