This is a basic tracker using GPS and reporting it's location by SMS when requested by a SMS message. The unit is very simple to install but the supplied instructions have suffered badly during translation from Chinese. If the instructions had been better I would have rated this device as excellent. Careful thought must be given to the installation location, it must be able to receive the GPS signal from above and receive and transmit on the mobile phone network too, UPDATE. 2021 I have now tried several of these devices since I purchased this one, they all seem to work well at first then after a year or so they become unreliable, cold starting the device may get it working again but not for long.

The product requires a 2G SIM card, which I have now sourced. The bigger problem is how to fit it as it requires a live feed and the instruction do not explain how to connect or more importantly how to cut and re-splice a live cable. The guidance suggests fitting the device in the boot or under the seat but there is no power to connect it to in those places as the instructions assume the device will be connected to the battery, which is under the bonnet. The instructions are not at all clear and I cannot see me having this device connected any time soon without paying for professional help.

Don't confuse this with the rubbish small Chinese ones that are on eBay. This one is great and works perfectly. I have it on my motorcycle as a gps tracker. I bought a pay as you go sim topped it up with £10 and that's it. You simple text the number and it replies back. It doesn't drain the battery and always responds with the exact location when I text it. Amazing at the price. Can't complain.

Very pleased with this tracker. I've Put an O2 classic sim in it (no bundles just £10 on it) and it works perfectly. Even under the bonnet there is no loss of accuracy. Forget messing about with texts, download the app onto your smartphone (if you haven't got one yet, wake up!) and it uses practically zero data, you can leave it on, updating it's position every 5 minutes and your credit will last years. Mine hasn't gone down by 1p yet in 2 weeks. I'll have to make it send a text every 6 months to keep it active! Right, listen up... This gadget takes on average 30ma so over a long time would flatten a car battery (less for a bike of course). To stop this happening I've ordered a power off delay timer, this can be set for 6 minutes after the ignition goes off, after which time the tracker is powered down, this is enough time to update it's final position on the app, which remains accessible from the smartphone... Good eh? :-)Read full review

Why do all Chinese products come with tiny obscure instructions that you can't understand. I messaged the supplier and they sent me an online link showing a U tube film also a link to printed English instructions which was very helpful. Still complicated but looks good as it gets good reviews so will keep trying.
