To be honest I wasn’t sure this was going to work. However, it’s just changed 20 years of preconceptions. For lat pull downs there is increasing theory that you get better activation with a palms inward grip (not possible on a traditional bent lat bar). So this bar gives you that - ok so far so good - if you suffer from any kind of elbow inflammation - this can be traced to a palm forward pull as the internal rotation of the forearm is an unnatural torque on the tendon that runs from the wrist to the elbow particularly when placed under load. A wide palm inward grip is much more natural and allows for the stack to be loaded further. The multi grip on this bar allows you to move seamlessly from lat to mid back by narrowing the hold making supersets or circuits really easy. The only small downside is that it’s chunky and not everyone will find it easy to set up particularly if your hi cable attachment point is above head height but once installed it is a dream the concentric is a little easy as a result of the mass of the attachment and agin more weight on the stack can offset this. I recently bought the Mirafit open sided trap bar and was blown away by that. This is every bit as innovative. Will make Mirafit my go to for bats in the future as the quality is premium.
