all of Arthur Ransoms books , a gentle but compelling story of a by gone age .It manages to tell a tale of high adventure without violence and as such is a perfect thriller for children and teenagers, especially those with an interest in sailing and Chinese traditions .Overall a great read which when I read it as a child led to me buying the rest of the series , and later on to take up sailing .all of Arthur Ransoms books , a gentle but compelling story of a by gone age .It manages to tell a tale of high adventure without violence and as such is a perfect thriller for children and teenagers, especially those with an interest in sailing and Chinese traditions .Overall a great read which when I read it as a child led to me buying the rest of the series , and later on to take up sailing .
