Just as i remembered it when i was a child, Roddy Mcdowell made a convincing Ken, he suited the part well. It is a lovely family film, of hope and faith. The bad horse comes good, the daydreamer boy grows up. Superb film
Old-fashioned, pleasant family film. Watched it with my 10-year old, because I like horses, though he doesn't especially, and we both quite enjoyed it. The scenery is beautiful, and it's a good simple story.
Daughter a horse lover, she loved this it is a classic film that nver ages my daughters friends also liked it -all age about 10.
I loved the book as a child. The film is faithful to the original relating well the feelings of a boy who carries on hoping in the face of hopelessness and wins against all odds.
