replaced a focus mk2 wheel bearing and it worked ... if u use this tool make sure the 2 bolts holding the shells are tight i had to replace mine with longer ones as it was only holding together with about 2 mm worth of thread but to be fair its an easy fix and it did the job flawlessly im just a diy er and was happy to get the job done myself with hand tools

review for Neilsen Wheel Hub Bearing Tool Remover Install Front Bearings, Ford Volvo Mazda CT3873 Whilst this tool will do the job it'l likely only do the job once or if you're lucky twice. The problems are that the bolts sheer off when extracting / pushing in the bearing. Also that the silver plates for pushing the bearing back into the hub are so thin they deform. Plus the push pins are made from soft mild steel and bend and also deform (the ends bell over) very easily under pressure. For Ford applications there is no need for the silver plates to be so thin at the outer diameter and could have been over and inch thick at the OD which would have stopped the plates from deforming . I froze the new bearing hub in solid C02 (-78.5C or colder) to make the job easier but still this kit only JUST managed to insert one bearing. It's not even strong enough for DIY use let alone a proper workshop. I'm going to take the kit into work and machine some strengthening blocks to weld to the rear of the silver plates . Also make sure you have some 44mm long M8 cap head high tensile bolts as you'll need them...yes 44mm standard 45mm bolts are too long and the 40mm bolts supplied are too short and only just catch the threads. Luckily I'm a maintenance engineer and have access to mill's and lathes so can fix the short comings of this product and make new hardened push pins ...but most people would be stuck with an £80 tool that is only fit for one use ...you have been warned.Read full review

Would have been 5 star if clamshell bolts where longer, two threads is not enough to hold them securely when using to install bearing. I have tapped the holes depper and now using M8 x 45mm bolts.

I was very dissapointed as the tool's main disc plate bearing collapsed while extracting the Hub. Also the bolts that hold the clamp shell are not long enough, and therefore the clamp shell tends to fold as pressure increases. Maybe if it had a beefier bearing on the main disc plate and longer bearings would it worked fine.

Did what is supposed to do really well! There are no instructions with the kit, but you can find some youtube videos to help you out.
