I installed the unit and paired it to my android phone downloaded the app and it only gave very basic readings. I was disappointed because they were readings my dash display already gave so i supposed if i connected it to my laptop it would give better information. I didn't get a chance to do this because 2 days after installing it I went to the shops, came back and my very reliable Toyota Avensis wouldn't start. I sat for 30 mins trying to start but no joy. I eventually had to call Green Flag and after the guy did all the preliminary checks he noticed this device. Said to me "so many people are buying these rubbish units these days" unplugged it and the engine started straight away. He said they interfere with the ECU. He also said he wouldn't tell HQ or they would charge me for the call out. Nice bloke. I got a full refund and the unit went in the bin. That was 2 weeks ago and my car has started first time ever since. I certainly do NOT recommend this unit.Read full review

Unfortunately - once the software is loaded on your phone - it has a most annoying presence, being permanently displayed on your face page. Every time you open your phone you're greeted with a message to say that ''Torque is idle''. Very unnecessary and most annoying.

Didn't bother with the little CD these things come with. Plug in, hook Bluetooth to Android 'phone and used Torque Lite (free). Good enough for finding error codes (none on my Focus and a friend's Ka, P0443 found on my Modus), clearing error codes (of course, they come back if you haven't fixed the problem, but handy if you've reconnected the battery and the ECU throws a wobbler). With Torque Lite, I can have real-time dials that make me drive like a granny to keep fuel consumption down. Worth it just to take with you on a test drive and day-to-day handy too (especially if you have some turbo diesel thing). Not as good as more pro kit, but £4 is a no-brainer.

It wont clear any dash lights - it apparently only lists which sensors have fault statuses, . . I have windows phone and although the CD supplied has lots of android / PC / PDA / iPhone softwares, . . The WinStore has some Free/PaidPro softwares similar - search 'elm327' none state that your car SERV/CheckEngine / Other lights will be cleared, . . . but Fuel consumption and engine management for performance tuning - on the cheap - maybe.
