I needed a reasonably lightweight tent for a one-off cycle tour and did not want to spend the significant, three figure sum that top of the range tents retail for. Also, being ultra lightweight was not so important to me. The Eurohike Backpacker DLX stood out, not least because it appears to be one of the few tents at this price range, that allows for outer pitching, first. The inner dimensions provide reasonable height, front to back. Finally, it comes with a very useful size porch - sufficient to accommodate all of my cycle panniers. Pitching for the first time took longer than it should have. Lack of familiarity with the product on my part rather than the clear instructions sown into the bag, being the reason. This tent allows the inner to be kept attached to the outer. That proved a godsend on my first night, as I was losing the light and rain was threatening. Also, the groundsheet is particularly sturdy, so no issues there. It rained continuously during my first night. The ventilation panels did their job, with not a drop of condensation present. That said, this was a mild July night and I was using the tent solo, so I cannot comment as to the outcome if those variables had been significantly different. I noticed a few small darker patches along the ridge the following morning. I shall probably apply some additional proofing to these areas as a precaution. That said, there was no evidence of water penetration and the overall construction is of a very acceptable standard. Yes, there are tents that are a bit lighter, employ better quality materials and have a few more bells and whistles, and for that reason, I have given this product four stars. However, that seems somewhat churlish when set against the price of this product. If you're looking for a spacious, acceptably light, backpacking/cycle touring, 2/3 season tent at a very reasonable price, then the Eurohike Backpacker DLX should certainly feature on your list of tents to consider. Well, I have not use it yet. I have just put i in the back garden. Yes it is lightweight although if you are ready to spend much more money You can fund much lighter tents. Yes, it is easy and quickly to put it up possibly because I have a very similar tent for 4 people from the same brand but I really think it will be easy enough for everybody. If I have to find a negative aspect of this good and cheap tent is that I suppose 1.1 metre high enough to seat comfortably inside but it is not. If course I am over 6" nearly 1.90 metre but I tough that once sit down... If it could have been 10 cm higher it could have been much more comfortable but also heavier and then I found that most of the tents with similar specifications and size are around and also lower than 1.10m. Waterproof it should be as per description. I will know spring time. Read full review

Spent 2 nights in this tent. I don't have previous experience in tent so I can't compare since I never used one in my life.(I'm 43..) I was alone but wouldn't be problem to share with my girlfriend.(I'm 172 cm /75 kg (5.6 foot / 165 pounds) If you are significantly bigger than me I not sure if it would be good for you in size. But I had great sleep both nights and it was very easy to setup (after I figured out how to do it..haha) It wasn't raining but was a bit windy but I had no problem at all. I bet you can buy better than this but for the money it worth every penny.

This is a 2 season tent. So for summer use as it does have gaps around fly to the floor. Not too many pegging points. It isn't the lightest the lightest for backpacking. For the price it is a great tent. This tent is a great design. Large bedroom area that could easily accommodate two. Porch is really useful for putting muddy boots and luggage. Or if using as a one man the bedroom is large enough to house bed and plenty of storage. This is a really nicely designed tent. It's quite low level so you do have to bend down to get in. But once in its perfect size. Very cosy. This is a great tent for wild camping due to its colour and low profile. It is well made using good materials. The poles aren't that great. Pegs are heavy. I bought this item cheap. Absolute bargain for the price. Am really happy. I have put a low level micro camp bed inside that is 200 cm long it fits really well. Porch has two windows there isn't covering for the windows. This could be the perfect backpacking tent. If had aluminium poles and if the fly was lower to the ground. It's a really nice design, works well and feels more spacious than it actually is. I didn't expect too much for the price (I paid 38) but it is far more than I expected. Will probably be a tent that I will keep for some time. Groundsheet for the bedroom is a good strength and probably won't need an additional groundsheet. Am really happy with this tent. It's perfect tent for wild camping in the summer months. Read full review
