These Nikon L820's have an excellent build quality and are easy to use. Also they are just the right size and weight. Great that they full HD video. The photo color balance is perfect. The batteries last well particularly if you use good quality rechargeable such as the AA Duracell 2500 mAh Ultra type. The camera also has a great internal memory as well as the SD card slot and a nice sized screen.

I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality of this camera when considering the price of it. It has many useful features which make it a 'step up' from the usual 'point and shoot' camera. For what it is its the perfect little camera. If you want a camera with a nice lens (accurate colours, sharp image and no nasty flares etc) which is simple to use and plenty of options you really can't go wrong. I have this 10/10 after a months usage and opinion stays the same. Used primarily as a back up to full frame dslr. Has very simple controls with an excellent zoom from 22-675mm, as big a range you could ever want. Video functionality in HD 1080 (as much as you'd want without a super computer) is very good with excellent focus tracking. Great little compact bridge camera that also looks superb

Love this camera more than I thought I would. I have the D3200 and tussle with it a bit, never quite feeling confident that I can achieve the results I want, despite specific training on it. Of course, there's a lot less to think about on the L820 and I do miss some functionality such as f-stop overrides with the fixed lens - but you can tweak a surprising amount. Picture quality is perfectly good for everyday hobby use and general location work. It's brought a bit of fun back to my shots.
